Daily Kos Anti-Semitic and Anti-Catholic Hate Speech

From the July 16 edition of Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor:

O’REILLY: Hi, I’m Bill O’Reilly. Thank you for watching us tonight. JetBlue and the radical left — that is the subject of this evening’s “Talking Points Memo.”

What do you think of someone who says the following: “The world would be better off without him.” That after Tony Snow announced his cancer had returned. “The pope is a primate.” “Evangelicals are nut cases.” “Better luck next time,” after an assassination plot against Vice President Cheney in Afghanistan. And “Some attacks against coalition forces in Iraq are legitimate.”

All of those thoughts were posted on a vicious far-left website called the Daily Kos, one of the worst examples of hatred America has to offer. This summer, that website is having a convention in Chicago. And only one major corporation has stepped up as a sponsor. That company is JetBlue, the airline that melted down last winter.

Bill O'Reilly is absolutely right about the Daily Kos, and he touched only the tip of the iceberg. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton leapt to the defense of this hate-filled sewer.

Blogger Event Draws Democrats (Amy Schatz, Wall Street Journal, August 3, 2007; Page A4) reports,
It took less than a day for the blog to acquire an unlikely champion: Mrs. Clinton, who has been a favorite target of the blog's writers for her vote to authorize the Iraq war and her refusal to apologize for it. Within days of Mr. O'Reilly's attack, the Clinton campaign launched a pro-Kos petition drive, issued a statement of support and sent communications director Howard Wolfson onto Mr. O'Reilly's show to defend the bloggers.
This is what Hillary Clinton supports and stands with.
Imagine a world without Israel

Or is that not allowed?

Muslims, Jews, and Christians could live in peace without fear of mutual destruction.
There would be no more need for US AID or justification for Dimona.
We could bring down the Wall, send prisoners home, and families could be reunited.
We could dismantle checkpoints, open crossings, and pull down barbed wire fences.
There would be no more settlements or armed settlers because the people would be united.
We could replant trees and olive groves and rebuild battered cities.
No more suicide bombers or sniper fire, and no more dead civilians.
No more targeted killings and hell-fire missiles, or systematic demolitions.
Palestinians and Jews could live together and the world could address other issues.
What a simpler place this world would be
if there was no need for a Jewish majority - where there would otherwise be none.
Is it so hard to imagine?
"America’s blind support to Israel is the result of the Jewish lobby. The neo-cons and other groups that seek to subvert America have always had an opposition force against them. The Jewish lobby owns Republicans and Democrats and stands unopposed. The result is silence against Israel’s crimes against humanity and the undermining of American interests and moral authority. Many have stood up against Bush but what politician or commentator has the fearlessness and moral character to stand up against Israeli policies? The silence can end on this blog. I would encourage others to regularly post comments that reject Israeli atrocities against humanity.

Were Jewish interests “behind” the Iraq War? Alone, hell no. But were they a factor? That’s not even up for debate. Of course they were. Have you been able to argue with a rightwinger who didn’t point to Saddam Hussein rewarding the families of suicide bombers as supporting terrorism (then equivocating it with the US/Al Queda conflict)?

…Trying to suggest that there is zero influence from the rightwing neocon segment of the Jewish lobby in Bush’s administration is just blithering stupidity. “No basis in fact or logic” is a claim you’re simply unable to substantiate. Criticizing Israeli policy and US policy regarding Israel is all I’ve done and you won’t be able to produce a shred of evidence otherwise. What you also have to overlook is that I also think the Palestinians have been a bunch of incompetent dishonest scoundrels.

A comment for A Ride with Heinrich Himmler cites what are apparently four examples of anti-Semitic hate speech at the Daily Kos

Here’s the first four I found. (0 / 0)

"According to the study, pro-Israel lobby groups have exploited the sensitivities of major media outlets and of US politicians to campaign contributions to maintain their sympathy for Israel regardless of what it does in the region."

" By AIPAC’s last count, 11 US senators were Jewish and only 2-3 % of the population is Jewish. I am sure there are similar ratios in the House of Representatives"

"Because each and every congressman is fearful of AIPAC. So they all toe the line, and the exceptions to this rule get hammered ruthlessly by America’s most powerful lobby."

"The irony is that this is the first time in history that a tiny nation (Israel) has manuevered a superpower to fight a war as its proxy. It’s usually the other way around. And of course the oil was going to pay for it all. Just ask Mr Wolfowitz about that. Alas, in America it is not politically correct (or if your running for office, politically wise)to question the dangerous influence that Israel has over the foreign policy and national security of the United States"

Why Lieberman’s Independent Run Will Fail talks about “Jew Lieberman,” to use MoveOn.org’s terminology.

"The Repubs will get behind Joe and probably try to rig the elections. Joe voted quite a lot with the repub on issues of war. They will support him and finance him under the table. I pray he quits first but even if he does he will probably work for the Jewish Lobby."

 Ratzinger still a Nazi ?

by hillarious Tue Apr 19, 2005 at 02:32:11 PM PDT "There’s heated debate about whether it’s appropriate to call Ratzinger the Nazi Pope. It is not clear he’s still influenced by the Nazi teaching during his childhood, however, it is clear he was in the Nazi Youth Camp and he is notoriously ultraconversative."

"...I will call him Nazi Pope, plain and simple, for his past, more importantly, for his current facist doctrine."

"I hate the liberals whining when they do not know how to fight. I don’t care whether this guy is a real Nazi or not. He’s an ultraconservative and we need to demonize him as soon as possible."

Pimps, Pedophiles, Priests, and Fox News

Oh, I’m a religious bigot alright. (8+ / 0-)

I make no secret of that. I despise religion, all of it, even that part that does good, because it’s all based on lies. Like the war in Iraq, no good will ever come out of it, because it started with a lie. I concede ‘most’ priests were probably not pedophiles. They didn’t molest children physically, only developmentally, teaching them to remain forever infantile emotionally, with this idea that if they are only ‘good boys’ or ‘good girls’, a magical ‘father’ will break the physical laws of the universe on their behalf. Molesting them emotionally, by teaching them that the most joyful aspects of their physical nature are dirty, sinful; Abusing them intellectually, by teaching them there is an all-powerful authority they must never question. I could go on and on. The church, in particular the Catholic church, is an evil organization, that has nothing much in common to do with the man they claim they follow. The whole thing is based on lies, beginning with the fact that it was founded by Jesus- not so.

…I don’t think my opinion on this particular topic (3+ / 0-)

Recommended by: Brian Bell, mango, sarasson007

is going to have any influence on whether religious people decide to support Democrats or Republicans. Or even whether they decide to post here. I don’t really subscribe to the theory that individuals posting here represent anyone other than themselves. Just to prove it, let me point out something else: I DON’T SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! I don’t think 99 percent of our soldiers are decent, law-abiding folks of good will. On the contrary, I think most of them are a bunch of murdering, racist, bullies. Who sincerely believe ‘they’ attacked us on 9/11, because ‘they’ means Moslems, all Moslems, and Sihks and Persians to boot. So, I don’t support our troops, and I hate religion. You think those two opinions of mine are going to stop anyone from voting Democratic? You think there are people who might read this thread or some other where I post my opinion and say to themselves; “You know, I was thinking of becoming more progressive, but that asshole A. Whitney Brown hates our troops and Christians, so the hell with it, I think I’ll remain a Republican.” That would be too bad. But it’s too late to change.

…Oh, one more thing. (0 / 0)

" Look Arken, you confuse me with someone who gives a **** how Catholics these pope worshipping, blood drinking, superstitious hoopleheads. If they want ot live under Republican rule the rest of their lives, there’s nothing I can do or say. I’m certainly not interested in wasting any of my time on this earth convincing them otherwise. Nor in censoring my own opinions in the hope of not offending them. Anyone who is offended by my opinions is welcome to turn the page.

…I never said anything about individual Catholics. (0 / 0)

Being Catholic is adhering to a set of beliefs, just like being a Republican. No one is born Catholic, that’s why they have confirmations. Adults can choose their own belief systems and at some point they must take responsibility for their choices. The Catholic church is a force for evil in the world, no different than the KKK, the Republican Party, or the Westboro Baptist Church.

You're part right.
The quotation marks do make it an insult. This statement though,
Besides he is an Independent and he does caucus with the Democrats.
does not compute. Just-retired Independent Senator Jeffords caucused with the Democratic majority and minority, and no one ever called him an "Independent Democrat."
LIEberman wasn't really a Democrat when he first ran for the US Senate. He ceased to be any kind of one when he ran against his state's Democratic Party choice.
MY party's tent is NOT big enough for the senator from Likud.

It comes as no surprise that Hillary Clinton, who is herself suspected of using the phrase "Jew Bastards," has come to the rescue of the Daily Kos' Jew-haters and Catholic-haters.
