Million Mom March sponsoring organizations

from http://www.millionmommarch.com/html/sponsors.html as of 5/20/2000
Stockholders in publicly traded companies: you can file a stockholder resolution to demand that your company withdraw and repudiate its support of the Million Mom March.

Sponsors (individual, business, and corporate): the Million Mom March told you they were a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization when they asked for your money. But they recently announced plans to become a political action committee (PAC), to which donations are not tax deductible.

So what's the purpose of this Web page?

Those who saw the recent movie edition of Merlin will get the idea immediately. Close to the end, Merlin fights the evil sorceress Mab. She asks what he thinks he can do to harm her. Merlin remembers that it is people's belief in her that gives her her power, and he answers, "We're going to forget you." He, and everyone around him, turn their backs on her and walk away. She screams at them (sort of like Rosie O'Donnell) to turn and look at her, but they ignore her, and she fades into nothingness.

And that is what this Web page is about: getting the Million Mom March's sponsors and supporters to turn their backs on lying manipulators and demagogues like Donna Dees-Thomases and Rosie O'Donnell. Like Mab, Dees-Thomases and O'Donnell depend on peoples' belief in them for their political and social power. When people turn their backs on them and walk away they, like the dog "doo" in Clint Eastwood's Sudden Impact, will dry up and blow away.

Good Million Mom March sponsors (i.e. ex-sponsors)

The following organizations were formerly on the Million Mom March sponsor list, but are no longer there-- or have announced that they are no longer sponsoring this organization. I wonder what it was that convinced them to drop their support-- the realization that they had been lied to about 12 children a day, or the Million Moms' concealment of their plan to become a political action committee?

Sponsor list and stockholder relations address (where available; I will update this as I get more).

Note: names of apparently private individuals have been removed from the list. It is not the purpose of this Web page to promote or even facilitate invasion of anyone's privacy. I have made efforts to list only public entities like corporations, businesses, celebrities, foundations, and religious institutions. Our mission with private businesses, religious institutions, and so on is to inform them that the Million Mom March lied to them to obtain their support, and concealed its intention to become a political action committee. California Senator Dianne Feinstein also endorsed the Million Mom March. So what else is new?
