Matching Grant Program for the SLAM the NRA Concert

Concert tickets are $25.00, of which a portion will be donated to Handgun Control Incorporated. Here is my matching grant (mailed 7/18/2000; for security reasons, my signature has been blurred and the account numbers have been censored):

SLAM lies about the NRA and gun laws

• "Since Columbine, more than 22,000 people have been killed with guns in America. We lose nearly 12 children a day to gun violence in this country. That’s a Columbine every day. Why doesn’t the NRA care?"
• "12 children a day" is a fraudulent, misleading, and deceptive figure that has been thrown around by Handgun Control Incorporated, the possibly defunct Million Mom March (brought down by its own dishonesty and misconduct), and Bill Clinton, to whom lying is as reflexive as breathing.
• "Perpetuating the myth that the Second Amendment guarantees a broad, individual right to possess firearms              and that it precludes any reasonable gun laws"
• I made a mistake; I thought SLAM consisted of musicians. Now I see that they are experts on Constitutional law.
• "Helping to make our federal gun laws so weak that a child can legally buy an AK-47"
• An outright lie. Nowhere in the United States is it legal for a minor to buy firearms.

So let's tell the truth about their side. If you don't want to donate to NRA-PVF, give $25.00, the price of one "SLAM the NRA" concert ticket, to your favorite pro-Second Amendment organization or political candidate's campaign fund.
