Downloadable Million Mom March scandal fact sheet: all about the MMM's alleged misuse of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt money, provision of inaccurate information to the Internal Revenue Service, and fraudulent statements to its own financial donors and volunteers. Identifies numerous politicians, including Hillary Clinton, who were associated with the Million Mom March. (Word for Windows, 1.3 megabytes)
We can only speculate on why the Million Mom March Foundation felt that it had to liquidate itself and transfer its assets to the Brady Center but the information and that at http://www.stentorian.com/2ndamend/mmm/form990.html ("problems" with the group's tax return for 2000) suggest that, had it not done so, its 501(c)(3) exemption would have been revoked by the Internal Revenue Service because of widespread evidence of abuse of that status.
- Strategy for dealing with the Million Mom March
- HCI, the MMM, and Bill Clinton claim that guns kill 12 "children" per day. That depends, of course, on what you mean by "children."
- Complaints filed with the IRS regarding the MMM's abuse of its tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status (electioneering).
- Complaints to the Federal Election Commission regarding same.

- Million Mom March officially dead, 1 October 2001.
- NEW (July 2002): Possible improprieties in the Million Mom March Foundation's tax return for fiscal 2000. Million Moms tell IRS they spent NO money on political activities or on attempts to influence legislation, even though their stated goal was to demand the enactment of "common sense" gun laws by Congress. Is this the gun control movement's Enron or WorldCom?
- Additional evidence
- Operation Firestorm: using this information to "burn down" the entire antigun movement. This is their Enron and WorldCom.

Freudian slip by four Million Mom rocket scientists (plus the photographer, and their Webmaster), showing what they REALLY think of our country's Constitution!
I believe this to be "fair use" of the picture from the then-Bell Campaign's Web page. The Violence Policy Center has posted entire gun magazine covers and firearm advertisements for the "educational" purpose of "proving" some point or other. I notified the owners of these pictures, who apparently did not think it was possible to do anything about it. I have covered the four individuals' faces because there is no reason for them to be identifiable as individuals. All that is necessary for this image's educational purpose is that they be identified as members of the Million Mom March.
This picture illustrates the Million Mom March's contempt for our country's values and Constitution. Our flag is merely a tool for them to wave in a hypocritical effort to look patriotic; this is how they handle an American flag when they're in a more relaxed state. Four adults or older teenagers sat for the photograph. The photographer was looking straight at them. And the Million Moms'/ Bell Campaign's webmaster had no trouble whatsoever with this image. That's at least SIX Million Mom Marchers who have no trouble with displaying the American flag in this manner.

Million Mom March: your problem with this??? This was posted by the MMM as another example of why gun ownership by law-abiding citizens should be restricted. (Go to Houston Chronicle for the complete story. Unlike the Million Mom March, which posted or framed the entire article on its Web site, I do not post more than "fair use" excerpts from articles whose copyrights belong to other people. If the MMM had permission, I did not see a statement to that effect.)
Nov. 13, 2002, 6:00PMIntruder killed by homeowner turns out to be daughter's ex-boyfriend
By PEGGY O'HARE
Copyright 2002 Houston Chronicle"A man shot to death his daughter's ex-boyfriend early this morning after the younger man apparently tried to break into the family's southeast Houston home, police said." [emphasis is mine]
Let's see; an intruder was trying to break into an occupied dwelling. I recall that, in New York State, second-degree burglary (of an occupied dwelling) is considered a violent felony that justifies deadly force by the occupant. (Third-degree burglary, of an empty dwelling, does not; it is a nonviolent felony. This is not legal advice; I remember this from a self-defense course in NY.) I suspect that most other states' laws are the same.
