Handgun Control Inc. and the Million Mom March claim that Mainstream America supports gun control. When it was time to stand up and be counted, though, here's what happened.

These are pictures from the First Monday / Million Mom March rally in Bethlehem, PA on 10/02/00. Mr./Ms. Lawmaker: the people who turned out on both sides of this demonstration are very likely to vote and to participate actively in getting friends and associates to vote. Which group do you want in YOUR corner?

The Million Mom March (all 66 of them, by one count) walks onto the Fahey Bridge in Bethlehem, PA.The entire gun control procession fits easily into the camera's field. (Note: these were taken at about 18:30 EST-- some motorists were already using headlights-- with 800 speed film in a single-use camera; hence the lack of sharpness.)
They were supposed to start at 18:00-- maybe they waited until early dusk to prevent effective photography of their pathetic turnout.
