In the last war against totalitarianism, the United States of America stood above all other nations as the Arsenal of Democracy. Today's battle to preserve liberty and freedom is a war of ideas. Arm yourself here.

Basic Principle

"Propaganda consists of the planned use of any form of public or mass-produced communication designed to affect the minds and emotions of a given group for a specific purpose, whether military, economic, or political."
-Linebarger, Paul Myron Anthony. 1954. Psychological Warfare, 1954, Combat Forces Press, Washington (p. 39)
Pro-Second Amendment arguments must be:
  1. Accurate
  2. Effective (Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership is especially good at using images- Grandpa Jack and Brasco the Liberty Bear, for example- to convey ideas)
  3. Widely distributed!
Item #3- widespread distribution of pro-Second Amendment material- is where the National Rifle Association (NRA) has come up short. This is not a condemnation of the NRA (I am a Life Member, and I encourage you to join the NRA; they are the good guys.) It is rather a question of technique. Even JPFO's outstanding cartoon-style "Grandpa Jack" pamphlets are rarely seen in circulation. The problem with all pro-Second Amendment material is that you must make the effort to buy it and circulate it. Even pamphlets that are sold at cost (less than 50 cents each for "Grandpa Jack" pamphlets in quantities of 50 or more, and they're well worth it) must be ordered and distributed. Col. Linebarger's book, Psychological Warfare, discusses an often-overlooked element of propaganda: distribution! The book discusses various methods of dispensing leaflets for maximum dispersion- barometric fuzes for bursting leaflet bundles high in the air, dispensers for mounting underneath airplanes, and so on. "To be effective, leaflets must scatter. Bundles of paper which fall intact make little impact on the enemy [or prospective audience, the general public in this case] unless they hit him on the head." (p. 170) The Stentorian's pro-Second Amendment leaflets are designed with this in mind.
  1. They are easy to obtain (if you have an Internet connection). Just print the Web page; it's designed to fit an 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of paper. (Per possible copyright limitations on images, you may make only paper (hard) copies, not electronic copies, of everything here.)
  2. They are easy to post in public places (like anything else on a standard sheet of paper).
  3. They are easy to reproduce: single-sided photocopying.
  4. They are easy to mail: fold it in thirds, tape shut, apply mailing label and stamp, and it's off. Or it fits in a standard envelope.

New (3/24/01) "Second Amendment Dollars" to send to anti-Second Amendment businesses with copies of receipts for their competitors' products. (Also "Second Amendment Dollars" for the competitors: 2 of each kind per sheet.)
Special for SLAM! concert in Philadelphia,
    July 30 2000

    • (6/22/00) SLAM! Records, don't lose your integrity for a one-night stand with Handgun Control Incorporated.
General Purpose pro-Second Amendment
  • Second Amendment organization recruiting leaflet. Tell Rosie O'Donnell where to go!
  • "Happy Saint Crispin's Day to a fellow Second Amendment supporter." Nothing to do with religion, it's Henry V's famous speech before the Battle of Agincourt (25 October, 1415). Note that the longbowmen are wearing armor: "it's not just about hunting."
  • (planned, check for availability) "Once more unto the breach!" Another Henry V battle speech, from the siege of Harfleur. This is known as developing what Col. Jeff Cooper might call the "right mindset."
  • "When Rosie O'Donnell says, 'you aren't allowed to own a gun,' she means you, not we." O'Donnell and others as Orwellian pigs (per Animal Farm) who want special privileges.
  • (7/25/00) Police leaflet. Armed citizens are police officers' friends.
  • (8/24/00) An Armed Society is a Polite (and Safer) Society. Why the armed citizen's mindset makes communities safer for everyone.
  • (7/20/02) Which armed pilot would you rather have deal with your plane's hijackers? Your pilot or copilot, or the pilot of an F-16 with orders to shoot down your plane?
Other issues
  • "Understanding the Kyoto Global Warming Treaty" Not directly relevent to the Second Amendment, but Albert Gore supports the Kyoto Global Warming Treason Treaty. This leaflet will help defeat him in November. Ideal for manufacturing workers, manufacturing labor unions.
  • Royalty-free leaflets for post-Election 2000!
Terrorism
Numbered information leaflet series
  1. Gun Control Laws and Your Rights as a Juror
    • Why juries can and should refuse to enforce most gun control laws
  2. Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics
    • How Handgun Control Inc. uses statistics to mislead its audiences
  3. Slaves are issued weapons. Citizens own them
    • Throughout history, the right to own weapons was a mark of citizenship. Government-owned slaves, like the Mamelukes, were issued weapons with which to serve the government.
  4. More Lies from Handgun Control Inc. & Co.
    • Lies about "assault weapons"
    • "The Second Amendment refers to the National Guard."
    • "The Founding Fathers did not mean to apply the Second Amendment to 'assault weapons.'"
  5. Dishonest Lawsuits against Gun Manufacturers.
    • HCI's own lawyer, Dennis Henigan, as hostile witness to his own side.
  6. Killing Children for Ideology: HCI and the Violence Policy Center
    • Do HCI and the VPC oppose the Eddie Eagle safety program because they really think Eddie Eagle is "Joe Camel with Feathers," or because Eddie Eagle does to them what the Salk polio vaccine did to the iron lung?
  7. Sarah Brady Speaks with Forked Tongue.
    • Sarah Brady and Handgun Control Incorporated prove once more that "truth is the first casualty of war."
    • Brady's misleading and deceptive presentation of suicide rates among firearm purchasers
  8. Violence Policy Center's Written Plan to Deceive the American People
    • When I first saw this one, I didn't believe anyone could be arrogant (or stupid) enough to put it in writing. It discredits the Violence Policy Center and a good part of the entire gun control movement.
  9. Gun Control Supporters: What are You Fighting For? Country Joe and the Fish's I Feel Like I'm Fixin' to Die applied to gun control. Are you fighting for the privilege of limousine liberals to disarm you while they own firearms themselves? Are you fighting for the privilege of states and municipalities to disarm you and then refuse to protect you?
  10. Pleading the Second Amendment
    • A criminal who attacks or kills you can plead several Constitutional rights like those against unreasonable search and seizure and self-incrimination. To refuse being victimized by a criminal, you can plead the Second Amendment.
  11. I Ain't a-Marching Any More
    • Similar to leaflet #9, based on Phil Ochs' "I Ain't Marching Any More."
  12. "How will you protect me from the bad man, Mommy?""You owe your child an answer. It's not the one Handgun Control Incorporated and its allies want." A "desertion leaflet" designed specifically for the antigun "Million Mom March."
  13. Introducing a new safety mascot for Handgun Control Inc.: Freddy Beagle
    • Not to be confused with the NRA's Eddie Eagle (R), whom HCI calls "Joe Camel with Feathers"- while almost plagiarizing him in their interactive gun safety game.
  14. HCI's Miracle Cure for Gun Violence
    • Also designed for the antigun Million Mom March. "Snake oil, the miracle cure for gun violence." Addresses HCI's failed demonstration of a gun lock.
  15. The Million Mouse March
    • The parable of the mice who voted to bell the cat. Another leaflet designed specifically for the antigun "Million Mom March."
  16. Guns are designed to kill. Do you have a problem with that?Excerpts from The American Rifleman's "Armed Citizen" feature.
  17. Handgun Control Incorporated and Parris Glendening are willing to get you killed so they can be "right" about trigger locks.
    • HCI lawyer Dennis Henigan and Maryland governor Glendening fumble trigger lock demonstrations.

"I'm Handgun Control International."
A takeoff on the NRA's "I'm the NRA" ad, which features reputable citizens and celebrities who are NRA members. These leaflets feature prominent gun control supporters who are embarrassments to their own side. (There is no "Handgun Control International"- it would probably be improper to use, "I'm Handgun Control Inc." unless the person was really an HCI member. "International" also reflects efforts by foreign powers, and the United Nations, to enact gun control in the United States.)

  • Mario Biaggi
    • "Former Congressman (D-NY). Hypocrite. Wedtech Felon."
  • Bill Clinton
    • "U.S. President. Proven liar and adulterer. Sexual misconduct with subordinate (intern). Possible rapist (Juanita Broaddrick). Possible traitor to his country (Chinese campaign contributions)."
  • Dianne Feinstein
    • "U.S. Senator (D-CA). Hypocrite. Sets bad example for gun owners."
  • Jane Fonda
    • "Actress and entertainer. Entertained troops in Vietnam- North Vietnamese troops." Husband Ted Turner wants to abolish our National Anthem.
  • Kweisi Mfume's NAACP
    • Mfume, in his eagerness to join the rash of lawsuits against gun manufacturers, almost quotes the Ku Klux Klan party line.
  • Ted Kennedy
    • "U.S. Senator (D-MA). Hypocrite."
  • the Ku Klux Klan
    • "Pioneer in restricting gun ownership by 'undesirable' elements of society..."
  • Carol Moseley-Braun
    • "Former Senator (D-IL). Hypocrite."
  • NEW (9/21/00) Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR)
    • "Quack, quack, take gun control snake oil and Ban the Bomb miracle elixir. Quack, quack!"
  • Carl Rowan
    • "Washington Post Columnist. Hypocrite. Questionable judgment in using firearm on trespasser."
  • Stephen Solarz
    • "State Representative (D-NY). Hypocrite."
In each case, the caption, "I'm Handgun Control International" appears in large letters.
  • Handgun Control International (2" by 4" Avery shipping labels, #5263) "The political movement that would rather see a woman dead with multiple stab wounds in her body than alive with a gun in her hand"

Ethnic/ Religion Specific Leaflets

  • Blacks:
    • The Ku Klux Klan "Pioneer in restricting gun ownership by 'undesirable' elements of society..."
    • Kweisi Mfume's NAACP Mfume, in his eagerness to join the rash of lawsuits against gun manufacturers, almost quotes the Ku Klux Klan party line.
  • Christians: National ID = 666? Libertarians and Christians as natural allies. Libertarians also are Fundamentalists, we believe in the entire Constitution, including freedom of religion.
  • Jews: Hanukkah and the Second Amendment: Gun Control is un-Jewish as well as un-American.
  • Jews: "Union of American Hebrew Congregations" and "American Jewish Congress" are double oxymorons. Their politics are neither Jewish nor American.
  • Jews: Where does your synagogue or community group stand? (With the Warsaw Resistance and IDF or with the Nazis?)
  • Women: Commemorative Million Mom March unofficial HCI/ VPC/ Bell Campaign "Rape Defense Kit" for unarmed women: "Lie back and enjoy it."

Al Sharpton Leaflets

Wrap rabble-rousing demagogue Al Sharpton around victim disarmament supporters Hillary Clinton's and Albert Gore's  political necks like an albatross... and that's one big fat albatross to have around one's neck.
  • Sharpton "Pigs Aren't Kosher" Leaflet
    • "No Justice, No Peace" = Sharptonese for "Juden Raus!" (Jews Out!). Sharpton's followers chant racist and anti-Semitic slogans. "Hillary, kiss my Arafat!"
Envelope Stickers
  • Jury Nullification sticker (3 1/3" by 4" Avery shipping labels, #5264)
    • "National, state, and local governments that rule that police have no duty to protect individual citizens have no gun control laws those citizens have any moral obligation to obey— or, as jurors, any moral duty to enforce." Explains the "social contract" under which our country was founded; government derives its authority from its agreement to protect its citizens' natural rights to life and liberty.
    Special for Million Mom March

New (3/28/00): "Time Out for the Million Mom March?" Special leaflet for distribution in Washington on Mother's Day.

New (3/31/00): Commemorative Million Mom March unofficial HCI/ VPC/ Bell Campaign "Rape Defense Kit" for unarmed women

New (4/1/00): Unofficial Million Mom March T-shirt. Scribble out the gun before the Jew, Black, or woman can protect himself/herself from Hitler, the Ku Klux Klan, and a serial rapist/ slasher.

New (4/10/00): Whom do you believe? The Million Moms say they're not about banning guns, but Rosie "You are not allowed to own a gun, and if you do own a gun I think you should go to prison" O'Donnell is their keynote speaker. Click here for the impression I got from Rosie's speech at the Million Mom March (215 K WAV file)

New (4/24/00) Why do the Million Moms need to lie? The MMM organizers are lying about "12 children a day," and they know it.

New (4/29/00) Million Mom March: Political Campaign Masquerading as 501(c)(3) Organization? Are the Million Moms violating their tax-exempt status by praising and condemning candidates? A complaint has, in fact, been filed with the IRS.

New (8/1/00) Million Mom March chapter organizers protected from identity theft-- by MMM's worst enemy.
Million Mom Marcher (Barbara Graham, or Lipscomb) convicted in shooting (Rex Tincher's page)

New (11/6/02) Million Mom March "fact sheet."

    Location-Specific Leaflets
These are for particular states and municipalities

Special for proposed handgun ban in Northbrook, IL, July 25, 2000

Specific for Chicago, Illinois: your foray into Northbrook got my attention, Mr. Daley.

Make Al Sharpton Hillary Clinton's and Al Gore's running mate!

Victim disarmament supporters Hillary Clinton and Albert Gore: That's one big albatross to have around your political necks! I'm not "boaring" you, am I? (Click here to listen to what I understand of Al Sharpton's comments about Jews, whites, and "cracker-loving" Blacks, and Rosie O'Donnell's comments about gun owners-- 215K WAV file)

"Stick it to 'em" with these envelope stickers.

Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership's brilliant new distribution method for pro-2nd Amendment information: stickers that go on envelopes. The message reaches not only the addressee, but everyone who handles the envelope. NEW (3/3/00)! I liked JPFO's idea so much, I decided to try it myself. Free (in the "Stone Soup" sense, you must have a laser printer and buy your own labels, but they're royalty-free) downloadable envelope stickers. These Word for Windows (v.6) documents are formatted to print on the indicated address label sheets. Note: the download method needs to be tested, I may need to set up an FTP directory for these if they don't download when you select them. When I try it, it asks whether I want to download it or open it with Word.exe. Let me know! Next step will be to see if I can format these on an HTML page so you don't have to download a file. [update, 3/5/00: Word '97's document-to-HTML converter does not keep the table cell spacing precise enough make the labels print correctly. Ideas are welcome.] NEW (10/26/99)! GunTruths.com thinks the same way I do. It offers a VERY impressive collection of royalty-free downloadable posters. (The site uses frames of some sort, I had trouble linking the following posters individually. You need to go to the site itself. But you can try the following links first- someone sent me an E-mail with links that seem to work.) New (12/08/99) Single page flyers "expose the blood-soaked history of gun control" (Adobe pdf format)

NEW (11/18/99) Interactive stories in which the reader chooses the ending (by selecting a pro- or anti- Second Amendment position)

Antigunners (Handgun Control Inc. and fellow travelers, I mean you), if you don't like it, remember that you started it: "Don't start something you can't finish," "Don't steal a horse you can't ride," "Don't go there," "You reap what you sow," and "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw bricks." Well, you started it, and people like me are going to finish it.
