Can you protect two citizens from
The Mugger?
Joan and Richard had been married for fifty years. She was a retired nurse, and he was a retired accountant. They had saved a lot of money, so they were reasonably well-off. The mugger wanted some of that money, and he caught sight of the retired couple when they went outside to get their mail one day.
Joan and Richard lived in a nice neighborhood, and they didn't expect trouble when they saw the big man walk toward them. Only as he got closer did they feel uneasy. Perhaps it was something in his body language, a mixture of nervousness and aggressiveness as he psyched himself up for his assault. As if by common agreement, Richard and Joan stepped back onto their lawn to give him the sidewalk. That's when he grabbed Richard by the throat.
What happens next? It's up to you. Will your choice protect Joan and Richard from the mugger?
I support Handgun Control Incorporated and its efforts to restrict or outlaw possession of firearms in the United States. Strong gun control laws are needed to keep firearms out of the wrong hands. We need to ban guns to protect people like Joan and Richard, along with our country's children.
I believe that the Second Amendment means that private citizens have the right to keep and bear arms.
