Can you save the heroine from
The serial killer enjoyed killing and mutilating people; when his victim was a woman, he often preceded murder with rape. He had already killed eleven victims in the city during the past year. The police had DNA evidence from some of his victims, but no one had gotten a good look at him. The Serial Killer?
Sarah was a single 28 year old computer software engineer. One night, she awakened suddenly; someone was trying to force his way through her apartment's door. She came to full awareness suddenly, and she was scared. She realized that, had it not been for the deadbolt lock that she had insisted on installing, whoever it was would probably be inside by now.
Sarah heard the sound of splintering wood as she sat up. As she donned a robe, she grabbed the phone and dialed 911. As soon as the dispatcher answered, she gave her address and said, "Someone's breaking into my apartment!" She knew that the police took any report of forced entry into an occupied house very seriously, but how close was the nearest patrol car?
The door gave way a few moments later, and Sarah heard footsteps approach her bedroom. The door was closed and locked, but the flimsy lock would not resist forcible entry for even a moment. Then she heard, "I know you're in there, b***h, I'm going to come in and play." Sarah's heart pounded as the footsteps approached her door, and then a hand tried the knob. When it didn't turn, a kick smashed the door open. The figure in the doorway stood about five feet ten, and he had a stocking over his face.![]()
What happens next? It's up to you. Will your choice save Sarah's life?
I support Handgun Control Incorporated and its efforts to restrict or outlaw possession of firearms in the United States. Strong gun control laws are needed to keep firearms out of the wrong hands. We need to ban guns to protect people like Sarah, along with our country's children.
I believe that the Second Amendment means that private citizens have the right to keep and bear arms.
